WEEK 1

This is the first week off term break, in this week, Mr Nick introduced us to a new theory and topic called media ecology, Media ecology is how the distribution of media changes the environment of human behaviour through time. We were also introduced to the new project in which we have to make the music video

TO DO: Finish prelim research on industry

WEEK 2

We chose a specific genre for our music video in which after a long discussion with my teammates and input from them. We ended up choosing the indie genre.

TO DO: 2 extensive research and 5-6 general research of music video genre.

WEEK 3

We started researching and finishing our research task regarding on the media industry in music videos and genre research on music videos. We were tasked to do research on 8 different videos in which we have finished already. We also looked at the codes and conventions of music videos in the process.

TO DO: Finish industry research

WEEK 4

We started doing our statement of intent and got our initial ideas down, finalizing genre and noting our target audience done. We also learnt about the theory of stardom in how celebrities can be categorized as stars and how we can apply this theory into the making of our celebrity in the music video. 

TO DO: Finish industry research, do statement of intent.

Week 5

In the first lesson of this week, we had a project lesson in planning the whole music video. We created moodboards and were given the lyrics sheet in which we can plan the storyboard and scenes based on the lyrics and when it will happen in the music videos.

- Do and finalize moodboard

- Make our concept fixed for the video.

Week 6

Deadline is next week, all of us are working to the best of our abilities. I was tasked to do the song research and audience research. Saka was responsible for the planning and Bagas and Nicho were disucssing together the moodboard and storyboard. We also disucussed on where to shoot. We got valuable feedback as our teacher mentioned our moodboard was a somewhat too simillar to the original music video. And we should change some parts of it.

TO DO: Fix moodboard, continue planning filming schedule.

Week 7

This is deadline week, we are finishing up everything and we are making good progress unlike our last project. This feels more organized. We had a project lesson which on Wednesday and a Theory lesson on Thursday.

TO DO: Finish Classwork, finalize storyboard.

In order to help us make sure if eevrything is done, this is my checklist:

SELF REFLECTION:

Overall, this weekly progress was one of the most helpful things that exists in our project. From here, we are able to track down and note what we did so we don't forget incase if we want to find some references from which date in the past and we forget, we can just use the weekly progress as a pointer. It also serves the purpose of reminding us on what to do before deadline, so our projects never came past the deadline day. A challenge was that me personally, I forget to fill this in.
