Magazine development

 Here is the development process of my magazine, i will put all of my ideas for my magazines here and reflect on all the ideas and decisions that I have made.

Genre: Sports 

Sub-Genre: Basketball

Name of magazine:

I would consider DUNK and The playbook would be my best options as of for now. Dunk literally means putting the ball in the basket with direct hand-hoop contact, usually using athletic movements

Possible Cover Lines

"postgame secrets"

"Sneaker showdown"

"homegrown honing with (celebrity)

"Triple Threat: How it could be crucial"

My main coverline would be homegrown honing with my celebrity, as it would really well conform with my values and the magazine values of self improvement, sneaker showdown would also be cool as one of my contents would involve sneakers and the types of sneaker best to use for each position, I came up with other ones, but it would be a substitute as I am focusing on how to improve skills at home.

Double Page Spread

My initial plan for my double page spread is to put 2 different images of my celebrity that I am going to use

• Put 4 top booming shoes that my celebrity wants to review.

Change of ideas.

I have decided to make the article strictly about top trending shoes that my celebrity would like to review and give honest opinions, this is due to the fact that I already have these shoes and I can take pictures of them wearing it myself while already knowing the feel.

4 shoes and a picture of me wearing them on the layout of my double page spread with brief quotes and evaluation of each with a verdict on the end.

Reflection

This is one of the harder aspects of the comp 1 as my ideas would always have new ideas and changing ideas which sometimes makes the first parts of the development that I have spent chunks of time to work on becoming irrelevant while constantly updating this section of the development, which is time consuming.

TERM 3 MAGAZINE DEVELOPMENT

This is my further magazine development, we learned about layouts on the magazine covers and learned on how to properly make magazine layouts and sizes of the fonts and styles of the texts.

This is my practice attempts on paper on my magazine layouts, I tried different styles and placements of the words. I also tried different ideas of poses. 

Then my teacher told me to experiment on computer on a couple of default layouts, Here I have included before and after first attempts

BEFORE

Here, the overall organization of where the words and where the pictures should be is messed up, the words are not alligned and all over the place.

Now, my teacher taught me furtehr details about border allignment, text syles and an improvment on my layout.
