Week 1

First week back, just a couple of re-introductions to some media terms, and orientation. the Teacher introduced our project, it will be a documentary, I hate the feeling of having another possibly stressful project.

Week 2

We started seriously learning this week, on Monday I was sick so I could not attend, Tuesday i tried my best in attending online, but I could not really hear the teacher. But I heard that we were researching documentary openings, The teacher tasked us to have 5 openings analyzed using some questions, we also learned about media regulation and policy and games and social media apps. I hate the feeling of having long writing homeworks after a good 2 month break. 

Week 3

This week we dived into the topic of media regulation and started doing our statement of intent, we also already set up our groups, who we want to do the project with. 

TO DO: Finish SOI, brainstorm idea, more research

Week 4

We learned about a new module called power and media, continued our project lessons and made our screenplay, storyboards and scripts. We also created 3 or 4 new blogposts that also contains speficially our scripts, statement of intent was also made and finished by me and my teammates. 

TO DO: 

- Find co actor to act as the girl that my main character murdered

- Finish the script. 

- Start filming

- Establish the storyboard

Week 5

This week Mr Nick has instructed us to finish and continue all our projects, we also have been starting to take practice shots in order to have an idea on how to lay out our shots, camera angles and get the Mis-En-Scene straight. We also need to focus on the storyboard

Week 6

As usual, Mr nick has tasked us to finish our projects, we have learnt about how high powers regulate the media content that will be exposed to consumers. We watched a whole fiction netflix series episode called black mirror in order to understand how people in power controls and regulates content. Mr also gave us the opening information and requirements needed for the critical reflection 

- Take notes on the series and review it at home

- Extend my research. 

Week 7

This week is just another week where we discussed the topic of media regulation again, reviewing on previous meetings. Other than that, we were given the chance to continue on our projects and there was a short feedback session in which the teacher gave us a chance if we wanted more feedback or not, what to add and what to remove/progress checker

Week 7

On the second to last week, we continued our projects as its nearing deadline week. And my group further asked for feedbacks from the teacher, mostly positive. As for theory lessons, we continued the module of media regulation.

Week 8

This is deadline week, we discussed more media regulation, but as it was deadline week, Mr Nick has kind of focused us on project work as all of us are not done yet. We continued to edit more and finish all of the necessary research

SELF REFLECTION:

This weekly progress contained a to do list for me, as a very forgetful person and in the midst of the hecticness of the last year of highschool and basketball team training, this blog really helped me to keep track of my assignments and my part in this project. I felt so good making this blog as this is one of the easier parts of the project.
