SUBHEADING:

Air Zoom GT Cut 2

This shoe is a good fit for shiftier guards who prioritizes court feel and lightness alongside people who like playing the game low to the ground. Its bouncy air zoom forefoot unit adds more comfortability and the equal energy distribution would really help quicker players into improving their performances. Also because of its crazy air zoom cushioning, impact protection is a guarantee.

"Really good fit, very plushy and squishy in fact, feels like those squishy toys when you actually test the bounce of this thing. The rubber is just like that, perfect grip on hardwood, squeaks like mice out there. I don't play guard but this shoe is defenitely worth it".

But on the other side, this shoe does have its own problems too, as it is VERY low cut shoe also with it being so high off the ground, it reduces the stability if this shoe. The tongue also slips pretty often, making it highly uncomfortable for playing for long durations. One thing is for sure, this shoe should be avoided at all times for bigger players who constantly need stability or for players with weak ankles.

"I rolled my ankle while playing with this thing, haha, the tongue really is a pain, but I think its pretty expected as I don't play quick and shifty like some guards out there, I am a bigger guy with more ankle issues"

VANDY'S VERDICT: 7/10

Subheading 2

Jordan 37 Low:

This shoe is the low cut version of the original Nike Air Jordan 37, with a lighter feel and the same Air-zoom technologies, with the Air Zoom unit being all over the sole. It also has a removable midsole, which when we remove it and change it with custom soles, the comfortability will stay the same. As usual, the plush and bouncy Air Zoom unit aids with impact protection, and the flexibility of the rubber soles would aid the energy distribution. As it is a low cut version of a high top shoe, the upper materials are firm, which makes ankle support a guarantee in this shoe, which fits bigger players to aim for maximum impact protection and support. The grip is optimal as the sole pattern is specifically designed for indoor courts, and the soles are also made of rubber itself.

"In this shoe, my ankles would never roll, and after playing for 2 straight hours my feet does not hurt at all. The grip is INSANE , stops on a dime, as I am flat-footed, I needed custom midsoles for these shoes and safe to say there is no difference at all. Really recommended for bigger players like me".

On the other hand, durability is still the main issue of the Jordan line, this shoe is also not flexible to play outdoors and on courts too dusty. For players who play outdoors with this shoe, there would be no chance that this shoe would last past 6 months.

"I had one other pair that I used to play outdoors with, the outsole already went bald after 6 months of frequent use, its a bummer"

VANDY'S VERDICT: 8/10

Subheading 3:

Giannis Zoom Freak 5.

The zoom freak line by Giannis Antetokounmpo usually focuses on its insane bounciness, with shoes being equipped with large air zoom units on either the forefoot (Zoom freak 4) or the midfoot or the hind foot (Zoom freak 1-3). It has always been known to be a budget signature shoe, with prices around $100 or 1.5 million rupiah (other basketball shoes would average around $150 or 2.3 Million Rupiah). But this year, they have cut back on the insane large air zoom units to maximize the court feel, with smaller Air Zoom units, but with an added upgrade that these shoes are equipped with the Air Zoom unit all over the shoe rather than in one specific part of the shoe.

This shoe still upholds impact protection, with the Air Zoom units all over the shoe, the materials are surely more durable, with synthetic leather all draped over this shoe. Even though its a low cut shoe, ankle support still stays solid for Vandy, as Giannis shoes are usually equipped with hard, top part of the shoe. With traction still being top with the herringbone pattern still all over the outsole.

"These shoes are way on the less pricier side, so I can cop 5 different pairs of them, haha, traction still stays solid and this shoe is still bouncy despite the cut on the Air Zoom units, support is top notch even though it is a low cut shoe, really recommended for big guys who are shifty".

On the other hand, as it is a less pricier, outsole durability still stays a problem for this shoe, as if you consistently use it, it would go flat in less then a year. The fit also stays a problem for wide footers as this shoe conforms to a more narrow fit.

"Im a wide footer, and this shoe is pretty narrow, so it kind of makes my foot hurt after playing, and if you want to play in these, it takes a considerable amount of time breaking in to these shoes due to its narrowness, so wide footers, just don't cop these things yet".

VANDY'S VERDICT: 8/10

Reflection: This particular part was a pain, its very time consuming and I have to constantly think about ideas that could conform to my target audience, the actual research for the product (shoes) that I would promote takes the longest, as I wanted this article to be as factual as possible. This project also comes at the same time as other major projects, with it also being near the exam dates, making the balance between studying and this project hard.
