Location Scout

In this post I will perform a location scout alongside a risk assesement of the location of my photoshoot.

LOCATION #1

 

Name	REGENTS BASKETBALL COURT
Purpose of shoot:	Basketball player (celebrity) pictures of shoes
Media language	Mis en scene: Shots list: -Low angle shot -Medium Shot - Long shot
Pros of location:	Very good lighting, nice and neat background
Cons of location:	Very hot, may be very uncomfortable, equipment may overheat.
Alternative Location:	LigaBali Court,
RISK ASSESSMENT	RISK ASSESSMENT
Potential hazards:	Equipment may overheat and catch fire, malfunction violently, heatstroke.
Evaluate risks:	Take breaks in the middle of photoshoot, if too hot, take pictures in afternoon before evening.
Control measures:	Always check the temperature before every photoshoot.
Implementation Timeframe:	15/01/2024

LOCATION #2

Name	LIGABALI ARENA
Purpose of shoot:	Basketball player (celebrity) pictures of shoes
Media language	Close up shot of shoes, low angle of celebrity dribbling the ball, medium shot of ball.
Pros of location:	Very good lighting (midday and at night), nice and neat background
Cons of location:	may be very uncomfortable, if photo early in the morning, the lights are not allowed to turn on, so possible minimum lighting.
Alternative Location:	AlleyHoops Court
RISK ASSESSMENT	RISK ASSESSMENT
Potential hazards:	No air conditioning, if used for long periods of time, equipment may overheat, catch fire very likely
Evaluate risks:	If equipment overheats, take breaks.
Control measures:	Prepare water if possible fire on equipment happens. Checking equipment before setting up everything for the photoshoot.
